3-D Design course instructional goals:
Encourage creative and systematic investigation of formal and conceptual issues in 3-D design; demonstrate abilities and versatility with techniques, problem solving, and ideation.
• Develop mastery in concept, composition, and execution
• Emphasize art making as an ongoing process that involves the student in informed and critical decision making.
• Help students develop technical skills and familiarize them with the functions of the visual elements.
• Encourage students to become independent thinkers who will contribute inventively and critically to their culture.
In May, each portfolio will be assembled and mailed to the College Board for scoring. All artworks are submitted digitally via the internet for scoring. There is a fee for submitting each portfolio ($85) which is paid by the district if the portfolio is completed. Failure to submit a portfolio will result in a grade of an "F" for the class and the student will be responsible for repayment of the $85 submission fee to Aldine ISD.
Be prepared to work double the amount of time outside of class that you spend working in class (be here on time and all the time!)
There is a $30 Art Fee per semester. Due Friday September 11, 2015 and Friday February 5, 2016
